Antique Restoration and Conservation Projects
and Antiques for Sale
We at Sparta Upholstery have been working in the restoration and conservation of antique upholstered furniture for many years. We have been involved in such projects as a New England wing chair build in the mid 1700's, a wing chair built in Charleston, South Carolina about 1790. The "Charleston Chair" was displayed in a show at MESDA (The Museum of Southern Decorative Arts) at Old Salem in Winston-Salem, NC. We have worked on Empire Sofas built in the 1820's, numerous Victorian pieces, Arts and Crafts furniture, and mid century Modern pieces from the 1940's, 50's, and 60's.
Occasionally we have antique pieces for sale. These pieces may be ready to upholster in your choice of fabrics or already upholstered. Those pieces will be displayed on this page. Please contact us for more information about any piece.
